Another informative and engaging annual meeting of the JA Staff Alumni Network was held in conjunction with the JA National Leadership Conference held in Cleveland, OH. The 2025-26 JASAN Executive Committee was approved as was its Program of Work and Operating Budget.
Jack Harris, JA CEO, opened the meeting sharing with the JASAN group some exciting news about the JA's strategic plans and initiatives. Following Jack's remarks, Erin Sawyer, JA Worldwide's Chief People Development Officer, shared insights regarding the growth and challenges for JA Worldwide.
Additionally, 30 JA Staff Alumni NLC Scholarships were awarded as part of the shared JASAN-Acheivement Foundation Grant and the recipients enjoyed a breakfast reception with comments from Linda Schoelkopf, Chair, JASAN and Gina Blayney, JASAN and Achievment Foundation member.
Jim Hemak was honored as the 2025 Professional Staff Hall of Fame Laureate. A special dinner was held on Wednesday eveing to recognize Jim's achievement and then his award was offically presented at the Retiree Luncheon on Thursday.
The 2-day event was topped-off with the awarding of the 2025 Karl Flemke Award being presented to Jennifer Helgeson, President of JA Kentuckiana at the Thursday evening Awards banquette.
