Tom Dewar Chair-elect and Chair Fund Development

Tom was a JA student during high school and a JA Center Manager during his
college years. He began his JA career as Executive Director in Midland,
Michigan, then Vice President of Operations in Wisconsin, President in
Louisville, Kentucky, and President in Southeastern Michigan. He concluded his
career as Senior Vice President of Development at JA Worldwide. Today, Tom
works with a variety of national nonprofit organizations as well as JA operations
across the country including JA USA through his consulting firm TDEWAR INC.

Frank Evans Formerly VP & Executive Assistant to the JA CEO. Currently, Chair, Administration for the JA Staff Alumni Network

Frank joined the JA Company Program as a high school junior, and then went on to a 38-year JA career. He started in 1971 as Program Manager in Atlantic City, NJ, and went on to Program Director in Hartford, CT and Executive Director in York, PA. Next, he was Regional Assistant and then Regional PB Director in the Denver Regional Office. From 1982 to 2008 he served in various roles at the National Office, starting as National Program Director, which included being NAJAC Conference Director, and most memorably as VP & Executive Assistant to CEO’s Karl Flemke and Jim Hayes. Today, Frank is a Great Clips franchisee in Colorado Springs, CO.

Nancy Finke Chair, Finance Committee

Nancy joined JA of the OKI Partners, Cincinnati,OH in December 2008 and served
as Controller forthe organization for nearly 10 years. She served as the field
representative for the Controllers Group forthree years. She was also a member
of the BCRM Users Group for 3+ years. Nancy is currently doing some contract
work and stays connected with OKI Partners.

Tami Godsey Chair, Membership and Engagement Committee

Tamistarted her 30-yearJA career at the JA National Headquartersin March 1990.
Tami held multiple administrative positions mostly with the Operations Group at
National. In 1997, Tami joined the JA Southern Colorado, Inc.- Colorado Springs
staff as Special Events Director. She returned to the National HQ in 1999 as
Administrative Assistant to the National President,Jim Hayes and worked her way
through positions and promotionsto wrap up the last ten years of her career as
Senior Director of Conference and Event Planning coordinating the logistics of
the annual National Leadership Conference and many trainings and meetings. Tami
is now working with fellow JASAN member Frank Evans at Great Clips as Recruiting
Manager.

Christy Kunz Former President, JA of the Heartland and currently, Chair, Professional Staff Hall of Fame Committee

2006 Karl Flemke Award Winner

After 32 years, Christy Kunz retired as a Senior Vice President of Operations for Junior Achievement (JA) USA in December 2022. She began her JA career as the Administrative Assistant to the President for Junior Achievement of the Heartland (Moline, IL) in 1990 and served on the Education and District Operations Teams prior to her selection as president in 2007. In recognition of her leadership, she received the Karl Flemke Pioneer Achievement Award in 2005. In her retirement, Christy is committed to her family and community, having served on the Central DeWitt Community School District Board of Education for eleven years, volunteering in many Junior Achievement classrooms, and giving back by working with various non-profit boards.

Sharon Lents Chair, History & Archives Committee

Sharon began her 30+ year career in October 1990. She worked for 19 years in the Indianapolis JA office, holding several positions on the Education team and concluding her time as Chief Operating Officer. Her experience in expanding Indy office programming to include Exchange City and JA Finance Park led to a part-time role with JA Worldwide to redevelop Exchange City and Enterprise Village into JA BizTown. After joining the national office fulltime in 2009, she supported JA Area offices as they launched Capstone programs locally. Over time her role expanded to include oversight of implementation and support for all JA programming, serving as strategy lead for development of K-12 learning experiences, and responsibility for the execution of strategic education goals and core capabilities to support JA products. Since retiring in 2024, Sharon enjoys travel, time with family and friends, and volunteer opportunities.

Greg Munson Chair, Staff Development and Recognition Committee

Greg joined the JA Delaware staff as a Program Manager in January 2000 and was
promoted to Director of Programs. While in this position, Greg had the opportunity
to work with a variety of National programs, including the launch of JA Titan,
along with the pilot cities for JA Enterprise Village/JA Biztown and JA Finance
Park. After four years at JA Delaware, he spent another three years at JA of
the Delaware Valley, as the Director of Educational Services and oversaw the
programs and Exchange City, while continuing to help JA National/JA USA. With
both chapters, he was fortunate to oversee 10 counties (5 from each location).
JA Delaware was part of a variety of other pilot programs that Greg helped
manage such as Character Rally and Pathfinder. Greg received the 5-year Summit
Award. Greg now serves as the Director of Development for West End Neighborhood
House, where he has been since March 2022, and he looks forward to continuing to
work with JASAN and reconnecting with JA Associates.

Lucy O'Donnell At-Large Member

Lucy enjoyed a 27-year career with Junior Achievement of Delaware as a Senior
Executive. In that time, she piloted all the classroom-based programs as well
as the Capstone programs and served on numerous national committees. Following
her JA years, Lucy was the Executive Director of a statewide school for pregnant
teens. In her retirement from full time employment, she teaches high school
financial literacy programs for a statewide organization, Stand By Me.

Peter Tuschke At-Large Member

Peter Truschke joined the Junior Achievement of Chicago staff in April 1993. He
served as Operations Manager, Director of Operations and spent 13 years as Vice
President of Operations. Peter served on the pilot launch for Careers with a
Purpose and on the Culture task force. He was a part of the launch and foundation
of the Whole School Program in Chicago where they matched organizations with
schools to provide all the financial support and volunteers to adopt the entire
school. This model was a key growth initiative that helped JA of Chicago increase
its outreach both in students and fundraising. Peter was a key member of the
Chicago program staff during his 25-year career and saw the organization grow
from impacting 65,000 students when he started his career to over 600,000 students
who received JA programs in his last year with the organization. Peter left JA
in June 2018 and currently serves as Business Manager for The Community Crisis
Center, Inc. an organization that helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual
assault and economic crisis.

Linda Schoelkopf At-Large Member

Linda spent a total of more than 40 years doing JA's work. Starting as a
four-year Achiever in the JA Company Program, followed by four years as an
Advisor in college which led to her first professional role as JA Company
Program Director in Rockford, IL. She served as President in Terre Haute, IN,
Louisville, Kentucky and completed her career as the CEO in Dallas, Texas.
She also served as Director of Training at JA USA for nearly seven years.

Hud joined the JA Pioneers organization in 2016 when Frank McIntosh, then Chair,
determined the need for administrative support for the growing organization. A
graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelors in English and Psychology,
and of Seton Hall University with a Masters in Secondary Education, Hud began
his career as a high school English teacher but eventually left spending the
remainder of his career in Corporate Leadership Development and Process
Improvement. He currently works as an Adjunct teaching English at Wilmington
University.

Since 2019, I’ve focused on designing and delivering impactful training programs that equip new staff with essential skills and provide tenured team members with opportunities to expand their expertise.
In July 2023, I proudly stepped into the role of Vice President of Talent Development, where I am committed to helping employees unlock their potential and achieve their professional goals. My passion lies in creating inclusive, engaging training experiences—whether virtual, live, or self-paced—that leave a lasting impression.
I hold certifications in Training Needs Assessment from the Training Industry and Designing Virtual Training from the Association for Talent Development. These credentials support my commitment to crafting meaningful, results-driven learning opportunities.
With more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector, my background spans Community Relations, Volunteer Management, Board Development, Fundraising, Event Management, and Media Relations. This comprehensive experience enriches my approach to training, allowing me to address a wide range of topics with depth and insight.
